My Very First L’Orignal Client

As many of you know, I moved away from Niagara at the end of August. I now live in a small town right in the middle of Ottawa and Montreal. I think it’s safe to say I love it here in L’Orignal. Between the quiet country road, and the beautiful backyard pond - it’s a peaceful location for certain.

While I feel better about the business side of things these days, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t discouraged at the beginning. A brand new area means a brand new clientele, which in turn, means promoting to a totally different demographic and being seen from a totally different group of eyes. I’m no stranger to the profession, but I’m a newbie in this town. And it can be scary. But like all good things in life, they take time. Wine and cheese don’t pity themselves for taking their sweet time to peak, so neither should I.

I’d like you to meet the Bowen Family.

They’re important to me. Not only because they trusted me to document their beautiful memories; they were also my very first client here in L’Orignal.

I’m grateful for them because they got the ball rolling. They didn’t know what to expect, yet believed in me behind the camera.

I’m sure they thought they were just going to get their family photos taken, but they were actually helping me gain the confidence I needed to continue my career.

Scroll through to see the beautiful moments we captured together. I might be a bit biased, but I think they’re pretty great.

I’m grateful for the Bowen Family, I’m grateful to do what I love each and every day, and I’m grateful for this wonderful life.
